Gary and Doc on Pigeon Mtn. in Walker Co. Georgia, Dec 9, 2007

After much thought and deliberation, we have reached the difficult and painful decision to sell Doc.  We are getting out of the breeding business and have no reason to keep a stallion.  Doc has produced such nice babies, we hope to find him a home as a breeding stallion. He is extremely fertile, we had a very high (12 out of 13) percentage mares in foal for his first 2 breeding seasons.  He also is a talented and athletic young horse and could be a fine mount for an experienced rider.  We are reducing his price to $5000.00

We will continue to stand him at stud until he sells, 2008 stud fee will be $500.00 plus $5.00 a day mare care.

Brad

JWJ Doc's Dun It Gold is a 2004 colt by Hollywood Waiter out of Lonestar Cutie from JWJ Stables.  His pedigree is impeccable as a grandson of Hollywood Dun It with 3 crosses to Doc Bar on his dam's pedigree (including Doc's Solano) and a dash of Skipper W.  On top of the great bloodlines, he is a dunalino!  He has the color genetics to produce palominos and red duns when crossed on sorrel/chestnut mares.  Buckskins and black pointed duns when crossed on bay/black pointed mares.  He is also blessed with a well balanced conformation, a beautiful head and kind eye.  He completed 90 days of training with Brad Childress at Sand Mtn. Large Animal Clinic in Fyffe, AL.  He has gotten a good start in reining basics.   We are so pleased with the job that Brad did with him.

Update: We have our first foals from Doc, our 4 babies are all we could have hoped for!  Very athletic conformation, beautful heads, sweet and friendly dispositions.  Plus we got one palomino, one dunalino, one red dun and one chestnut.  A 75% color rate off of a variety of mares.  This shows that Doc is very dominant with both his physical conformation and color producing genetics.
